What is it like to live in Grenoble? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Grenoble is an international student city, I think it's more exciting to live in Grenoble as a student. You can get to know the French culture and meet people from other countries at the same time. I like it here but I wouldn't like to stay here after finishing my studies. I love the mountains and the people here are very nice.

What is the student lifestyle like in Grenoble?

There's always party, from Tuesday to Saturday you'll find somewhere to go.

How much does it cost to live in Grenoble?

It's cheaper than Mexico City in terms of accommodation but the cost of living here is more expensive. Grenoble is not as expensive as Lyon or Paris though.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Grenoble? Is there any advice you can give?

No, there's a lot of student halls and Airbnb.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Personally, it took some time to get used to French food because it's so different from Mexican food. I really like it now, my favourite dish is "ravioles" which is a regional dish.

Is it good to eat out in Grenoble? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, my favourite place is at Galeries Lafayette.

Is the nightlife good in Grenoble? Where is good to go?

I’m not a party girl and enjoy doing other things, but I think that the nightlife in Grenoble is good and I find it interesting. There are a lot of bars that shut early but there are other places to go if you want to keep the party going.

What advice would you give future students heading to Grenoble?

It's a nice town but don't expect cities like Paris or Lyon, the best thing about Grenoble is the international environment.
