Why did you choose to go to Grenoble, France?

I wanted to improve my French language and to explore the French culture more and more.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Its 1 year masters Degree and an additional year for any possible internships. I applied for CAF and receive an amount of 100 Euros for as an aid for my accommodation.

What is the student lifestyle like in Grenoble?

Its is very fun and easy. In my school GGSB, everything is found around the school, from low-priced students food to markets to bakeries to shops.

Grenoble is a small city and in order to reach anywhere, it is very easy to. Most of my friends here in Grenoble are International, so if anyone is worried about the language, there are many English speakers here as well.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Grenoble to other students?

Yes, The city is great for a student, but for the university, the Finance masters is the top ranked.

What is the food like?

Quite cheap but mainly kebab, Tacos, sandwiches on the go!

Some Italian restaurants as well, but for a little more budget. There is a small street in the center of Grenoble with all different shops serving food from different countries, Italy, Mexico, India, Turkey and English Pubs.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Grenoble?

No because my school helped me a lot in finding an accommodation beside it. Other friends who wanted to look for a place to live, mainly depended on Facebook blogs and some research online.

How much does it cost to live in Grenoble?

The accommodation is the most expensive thing in Grenoble, other than that an amount of 300-500 Euros maximum for living expenses, food and transportation.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes there are Language courses available in my university, and the language is kind of easy but since it is an international city with many international students, one can take a longer time to learn French, so one must try self learning in addition to knowing French people.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Grenoble from your city?

Since I Live in Egypt, so I have no other choice than traveling by plane and it can be expensive unfortunately, and have to land in Lyon's airport since it is the nearest to Grenoble and also because Grenoble's airport isn't working yet.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Grenoble?

La Bastille Mountain which is the highest peak in Grenoble with some restaurants there (Chez Gras) and many museums here as well.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Grenoble?

I love Italian food, so I recommend LA GAZETTA, as for the French restaurants, Chez Gras is probably the best.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Grenoble in the future?

Nightlife in Grenoble is not that much fun so don't keep your hopes up regarding Clubs since there are a few here and not that fun.
