Why did you choose to go to Grenoble, France?
When I decided to come to France for a 1 semester exchange I chose Grenoble because it was mainly a student city.

Student lifestyle in Grenoble is great. As I said Grenoble is full of students so this is the perfect environment for parties, week-end trips, football nights in bars, going to the park and playing some sport...
Would you recommend the city and the University of Grenoble to other students?
Sure, without a doubt. It would be an incredible experience not only academically, but also socially.
What is the food like?
The university cafeterias are fine, besides that you have many kebab places and brasseries. The kebab places seem a little expensive but the size of the sandwiches is really good, you don't even need to order fries.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Grenoble?
No, just look in the internet, there are many options. Cheapest ones are CROUS or finding a shared flat.
How much does it cost to live in Grenoble?
- Accomodation: 280-600 euros.
- Transport: 20 euros.
- Groceries: 100 euros.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
There are a lot of language courses, although if you don't know french it might be difficult in the beginning.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Grenoble?
Sun Valley, O'Callaghan, Le System, SOS Apéro...
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
La Bastille, Musée du Dauphiné...
