Food isabout 20 % more expensive than in germany, also drinks in bars are msotly 20-50% nmore expensive.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Yes, I had the oppurtunity to have a french coure. But if you have some knowledge in the language and you are motivitated you can go along.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Grenoble from your city?
take the train or bus, it'll take you about 10 hrs. Alternatively take a flight to Lyon or Geneva, But the it's still 1,5 to 2,5 hrs to reach Grenoble
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Grenoble?
a lot of nice places in downtown. Depends on your taste: burger, french, tacco,...
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Bastille: great view, nice in winter and summer
