Mother's day

The introduction

Hello everyone, I hope, that you are all doing just fine!

Now I want to tell you about this day in Georgia celebrated by everyone, I guess, because it’s called a Mother’s Day and people just celebrate it mostly with flowers and stuff like that , you know, they buy some flowers and give them to their mothers and things like that and that day is one of those days, when there are flowers everywhere and everyone is carrying some flowers in their hands and, well, it’s spring, too, and of course, there should be many flowers around. When we were little, I remember, there were some violets in our yard or on some fields nearby and we would go there and pick those violets and give them to our mother. They had this amazing smell and they were really beautiful, of course, so that it was the main thing, that we would do on this mother’s day at that time and we went o do that early in the morning or something like that, you know, when we woke up and everything. well, then, when we grew up a little, we used to have some money and we used to buy some perfume or something like that for her, you know. 

So that, this day is pretty special one for everybody, because everybody has a mother, well, not those whose mothers are not alive for certain reasons, however, those who are alive are pretty much served with love and presents, I guess, or at least, many of them are. This day is like a birthday for me, personally, if you want to know the truth. And, well, it kind of is, too, I mean, it’s my cousin’s birthday on this exact day and it’s a great day for him, you know, because there’s the two celebration for him that day. It’s  an amazing day, you know. So that, this year we were going to celebrate his birthday, too, as we used to do all these years.

Buying and wrapping gifts

I had this one thing already chosen for his present and then I saw this another thing and I just really liked it and didn’t know which one to buy and after some time of deciding, I decided to have them both bought and presented to him, because they were both pretty lovely and important and I really liked them both and I would love to have them as presents, you know, so that I bought both of them and had them wrapped in a lovely paper. Well, the first thing was this self stirring mug, which I liked very much and I had already chosen it to be the present for him and I thought, that I would buy some wrapping paper and wrap it myself, however, then I saw these wrapping papers and things like that and this woman there told me, that they had this wrapping service, too, and it cost just 2 Laris and I was very glad about it, because the wrapping paper cost 1 Lari and it was not a big difference in 1 Lari, you know, and, besides, she would wrap it faster than me and I wouldn’t have to waste any time in wrapping it, and, you know, sometimes it’s just really difficult to wrap something, when you are not kind of experienced in wrapping those kinds of things, you know. So that, I had this one wrapping paper chosen and that ribbon and she just went on wrapping and she just needed a couple of minutes for that, if you want to know the truth.

Well, this other day I saw this clock with a motorcycle shape and I really liked it, I mean, I had seen it on Ebay or somewhere like that and it was pretty expensive there, however this time I saw it in Biblusi store and it was normal in price and it was pretty cool, so that I liked it and I wanted to buy it for my cousin, however, then I bought that self stirring mug and I didn’t really know, what to do, however, then I decided to buy this clock, too, and I went to Biblusi again. Until I got there, I saw some other things in other shops nearby and they also had some motorcycle clocks, but they were kind of different and I didn’t really like them, so that I was very glad to see that motorcycle clock in Biblusi store and I just bought it and then went to this wrapping store, where I had it wrapped very well and though I wanted to have that self stirring mug wrapped too, I had it at home and I just had to buy some wrapping paper so that when I went home I would wrap it myself and as I’ve already told you, that wrapping paper just cost 1 Lari and I also bought 1 metre ribbon, which cost 30 Tetris.   

Well, then it was time to come back home, however, first of all,  I wanted to buy some things before I got home and it would be some things for my  mother and aunt and grandmother and I wanted to buy some things, that would be just something useful and not chocolates or whatever, you know. So that I just went to this shop, where there were many different things for house and personal stuff and some other things, too, and I hoped, that I would be able to choose some rightful things for those people. Well, there were these decorative shells, which I liked very much and I knew, that my grandmother liked those kinds of shells, so that I decided to take them for her and then there was this orange ball or something like that, which could be lit and it was pretty cute and, I must say, that I liked it very much, too, and I didn’t want to buy some huge things or whatever, you know, just something cute and kind of symbolic, so that I decided to give it to my aunt. And then there was only one thing left and it was for my mother, however, I wanted to give her some perfume and they didn’t have a good one there, so that I went to this other shop, where I just found that one perfume, which I liked and I bought it for my mother. Well, I had those brushes for face ordered online for her, but it was not yet delivered, so that I didn’t have anything to give her at that time and that’s why I decided to buy that perfume for her. And it was not that large bottle or glass bottle or whatever, which you can’t really take anywhere and which you should have at home in front of the mirror or something like that, you know, but it was that small one and kind of flat one, which I really like, because you can easily put it into your bag and take it wherever you want and just have it anywhere you want. It’s really necessary sometimes to have a small bottle of perfume in your bagand it depends on the occasion, of course, so that my mother would have something, that she could have taken with her.

Anyways, I bought all those stuff and went home and, well, my mother liked that perfume, if you want to know the truth. And then it was time for the wrapping, I mean, I had that self stirring mug at home, as I’ve already mentioned, and I had bought that wrapping paper and I would wrap that mug there. It was in its box and I decided to have that box wrapped with that paper, because wrapping the boxes are easier, I guess, however, it is not that easy to wrap something, when you don’t really know, how to wrap them and I really had some difficult time wrapping once and I could hardly wrap that thing, however, it didn’t seem like it at first sight. Though, you should be kind of experienced in that wrapping stuff, so that it will be easier to wrap those things, because if you are not experienced or know, how it’s wrapped, then you can spend much time doing that and you may not even understand how that time passed in wrapping. Well, I wrapped that mug and then it was time for that ribbon to be on it and I couldn’t really do that, because it was kind of difficult to place it just like I wanted and I couldn’t get how I could do that, however, then after some time, I finally did it and had that ribbon on the mug and that was it, I was pretty much satisfied and I was glad, that finally I wrapped the mug.

Going to the birthday party

Well, then it was time to go to my aunt’s and celebrate my cousin’s birthday and we went to Kakheti after I had done all that wrapping and it would be a good time, when I arrived there. Of course, my cousin was very glad to see me and there were my grandmothers and my other cousin, too, and it would be a great day, I must say. Besides, there should have been some other guests there, too, and we were looking forward to seeing them, you know. Until that, I gave those gifts to my aunt and grandmother and then it was time for the birthday presents and I gave them to my cousin and the other little one couldn’t wait for them to be opened and my cousin was opening them pretty slowly and it was really hilarious,how my little cousin was waiting for him to open those presents, so that he could see what was inside there. And he almost helped him open those presents, you know, but then he decided not to and then he waited for him to open them. Well, my cousin was pretty happy, that there were not books there, I guess, because last time I gave him some books, as I remember, and, of course, boys don’t really love getting books as presents and you shouldn’t really give them books on their birthdays, if you ask me.

Well, I was really interested in seeing the cake, which my aunt had prepared for my cousin, and, well, she prepares some great and delicious cakes, if you want to know the truth. And the cake was really beautiful and funny because of the painting, that was painted on it, you know. It was this Baron Munhausen painted on the top of the cake and it is something, that my cousin has read and loved the story and that’s why my aunt decided to have it painted on it and I was very surprised, because the painting was exact and it could have been very hard to paint something like that with the cream filling, you know. And, you can’t really undo your doing when you are doing those things with cream filling. Well, of course, you can take one thing out and then put another on its place, however, it’s still not that easy to do things like that and I wonder how she could make something so exact as that one. Though she wanted to have a face corrected and I kind of helped her in that and there was this small piece of cream filling on that plate and I took it and put it on the place, where his mouth should have been and it kind of got better, I guess, however, it was not that necessary to have it done, because then we would just place those candles there and it would be not as visible as it was at that time.

So, then we had those celebrations and stuff like that and it was a pretty good day in all,if you want to know the truth, and we had some fun, of course and then we had to come back to Tbilisi, because we had some things to do the early morning next day.
