What is it like to live in Foggia? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Foggia is not the "perfect city". It is a medium city and it offers the necessary for its citizens but on my opinion not for being a exchange student.

What is the student lifestyle like in Foggia?

It is not "wonderful" I believe. You should choose another one if you can, although there are some interesting things.

How much does it cost to live in Foggia?

On the average 700 euros, depending on the needs.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Foggia? Is there any advice you can give?

It is not so difficult but not so easy.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is the reason why you should go to Foggia to study. Food of this area and in general of Puglia region is so delicious that you wouldn't like to go back home. There are typical things that you cannot find abroad: orecchiette alle cime di rapa, mozzarelle di bufala... and an infinite variety of food made at home and sold in the small markets of the city.

What places would you recommend visiting in Foggia?

The centre ("Piazzetta" and all around that), is probably the most interesting area to be visited, as the most cities of Italy, the centre of Foggia is quite old and you should go there for a visit.

Is it good to eat out in Foggia? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yeah, it is fantastic. Everywhere you can find a very good place where to eat, for this reason I don't have a favourite place.

Is the nightlife good in Foggia? Where is good to go?

Not so good, but maybe you can enjoy spending a night in Replay Disco, close to the station.

What advice would you give future students heading to Foggia?

Well, don't expect so much from the city itself, if you will get friends maybe you can enjoy with them yes. And the best thing would be to travel a lot in the small cities close to it (Lucera, Manfredonia, San Giovanni Rotondo) to have different kind of trips (cultural and architectonic visits, religious ones, sea and sport), visiting "Gargano" that is amazing, you must not miss it.
