Why did you choose to go to Foggia, Italy?

I chose Foggia, because of my friends' pieces of advice. Besides, I wanted to experience the South of Italy, which is the real Italy.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

The scholarship lasts 4 months, and I received for each month 450€ from my university, 90% of money before and 10% after my coming back home.

What is the student lifestyle like in Foggia?

I study medicine, and my study program is based on practices in hospital, so I can say its quite flexibile.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Foggia to other students?

I can say yes. Foggia is not the best city in Italy, but brings lots of possibilities to visit nice places around and also city has own charm if you live here.

What is the food like?

It's traditional Italian food: pasta, pizza, pasta, but it's really good and tasty. Here, there is also a big open market with fruits and vegetables which has the best prices for products characterised by their high quality.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Foggia?

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) helped me to find my accomodation, so It was really good and it cost me nothing.

How much does it cost to live in Foggia?

For single room, it is usually 200e; for a double room, it's 170e plus energies.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language courses are organized by University, but it is good if you study language at home too.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Foggia from your city?

From Slovakia, you can go by plane to Rome or Bari, and from there, you take the bus or the train to Foggia.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Foggia?

There are lots of small places here where u can spend night, but about lots of activities inform ESN so u easy get to known where is good to go.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Foggia?

Really good restaurant is La Fasina.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

You can visit the historical centre and the Cathedral.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Foggia in the future?

Foggia is really good place for Erasmus if u don't need to be in bug city with lots of students. Here you have possibility to travel around to visit beatiful places and best chance to see how is southern Italy, siesta time and everything else.

    Hi in what hospital you have your studies? Are the nurses and doctors good Englisch or they talk mostly in Italian?
