The FAU is one of the most famous universities of the world in the field of solar energy. So I decided to choose this university.

Erlangen is a university city and 40% of its habitants are students. So it is a multicultural city.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Erlangen to other students?

Yes of course. Bayern is the best state of Germany. They have a rich Economy and Culture.

What is the food like?

you can find any kind of food here in Erlangen or in Nuremberg.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Erlangen?

Accommodation is the Achilles heel of Erlangen, it is not only expensive but also difficult to find a room here.

How much does it cost to live in Erlangen?

600-700 euro/month at least (normal student lifestyle).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

As Erlangen is a university city most of people can speak English. In addition there are some free courses in the university, of course they are not so effective and you can learn just some simple sentences as it is a preliminary stage only.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Erlangen from your city?

The only way is airplane.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Erlangen?

Erlangen is a small city but in summer there are lots of festivals. For better nights you should go to Nuremberg, It takes 20min. and costs 4-8 euro.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Erlangen in the future?

If you decide to come to Germany don’t hesitate about Erlangen but be cautious about the accommodation.
