What is it like to live in Dublin? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Great atmosphere,friendly people.Lots of history and culture.Vibrant art and music scenes.Great place for a party and excellent restaurants.Would definitely recommend!
What is the student lifestyle like in Dublin?
Vibrant nightlife,a little pricy but you'll find ways to work around that.Contant flow of events,festivals and parties.Excellent atmosphere,something that needs to be experienced to understand 'the craic'! Big student population and great student nights.
How much does it cost to live in Dublin?
Quite expensive for a student.Rent is very high and public transport is expensive and poor compared to other European capitals.In all it costs around €1000 a month including accommodation for a student.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Dublin? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes,there is a rent crisis at the moment in Dublin so it is difficult to find accommodation,especially for students.Many people look at websites like daft.ie,Facebook groups for renters or stay in digs.Begin your search as early as possible as most of the native students will start there search before the semester is over for the following college year.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
In Dublin the restaurant scene is great.You can get any type of food you like.It is expensive to eat out however the quality is amazing.Traditional homemade Irish food is served in many places,such as stew and bacon and cabbage but wow burger is also amazing and also the chicken wings in elephant and castle!
What places would you recommend visiting in Dublin?
Guinness storehouse,Kilmainham jail,Croke park,Howth,Dun Laoghaire,Bray,Trinity college,St.Stephens green,Grafton Street.For nightlife:the workman's club,grand social,coppers,Dicey's,Flannery's and Pygmalion
Is it good to eat out in Dublin? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Elephant and castle.Wowburger.Aussie BBQ.Mongolian BBQ.

What advice would you give future students heading to Dublin?
It is expensive so save up before you go but make sure to not let that stop you going out and doing things while you are in Dublin.There are always free events going on and special discounts for students.Get outside of the city centre and explore the mountains and coastline around Dublin too.And make sure to buy a leap card!!
