Experience in Dublin, Ireland by Beatriz
How much does it cost to live in Dublin?
Around 700 euros a month
Was it difficult for you to find accommodation in Dublin? Can you give any advice?
You can find accommodation online, http://www.daft.ie, here you can find loads of offers each day. Or hiring a middleman company.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
In Tesco or Lidl, prices are similar to those in Spain.
To eat in a restaurant with traditional Irish food I recommend the 'Stew with Guinness sauce'
What places would you recommend to visit in Dublin?
In Dublin, I recommend visiting the Guinness factory, Phoenix Park and do the free tour, they are in the morning every day at the city hall, and they teach you the most important parts of the city, the history and curiosities.
I also recommend visiting places outside the city, like the Cliffs of Moher, the Giants Causeway or Howth, with the tours that are organised.
Where would you recommend for a night out in Dublin?
"Diceys", every Friday, Sunday and Monday pints are 2 euros, "Fitzsimons", it's very expensive, a pint is around 6 euros but the atmosphere is really good, or whatever pub in the Temple Bar zone.
Is there any advice you would like to give to future students in Dublin?
Enjoy every moment to the max!
And if you're a smoker... bring the tobacco from Spain, there every packet will cost you around 10 euros.
