Why did you choose to go to Dublin, Ireland?

Above all else, I chose to go to Dublin to improve my English. However, I also chose to go to Dublin as it is quite a small city whose inhabitants are very friendly and approachable.

How long did the grant last? How much money did you receive?

The Erasmus grant can last for either six months or for the entire year; in my case I only received economic assistance for six months, which was €300 a month. .

What is the student lifestyle like in Dublin?

The atmosphere and the lifestyle in Dublin is amazing, I would recommend coming to study in Dublin to anyone.

Would you recommend the city and University College Dublin to other students?

Without any hesitation, I would encourage anyone to come to Dublin to study. It is a unique experience and the city is very welcoming and easy to settle into, making it perfect for students from any country.

How is the food in Ireland?

The food is quite normal for me as I rarely eat out, and when you live in a university residence you can cook whatever you want.

Was it difficult to find accommodation?

For me, finding accommodation was not too difficult, but I was lucky. It is very important to apply for accommodation in the university residences as early as possible as there is a lot of demand.

How much does it cost to live in Dublin?

Dublin is a very expensive city. A night out will cost you €20 at the very least, and a month's worth of groceries will cost you in and around €60.

How is the language? Did you enroll in any courses at the university?

The language-learning aspect of my experience is going very well. I have been improving little by little every day, and when the locals learn that you are foreign they speak very slowly and clearly. I have not enrolled in any courses.

What is the cheapest way to get to Dublin from your city?

The cheapest way to get here is to take a flight with Ryanair.

Where would you recommend to go out in Dublin?

It is difficult to choose one place as every day there are parties in different nightclubs, but after spending a bit of time here you will soon discover your own favourite places.
