Why did you choose to go to Dublin, Ireland?

I wanted to go to a country where they spoke English and Dublin seemed interesting and smaller than London. The subject of research for my internship was a prime factor.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

4 months and I think around 400euro/month

What is the student lifestyle like in Dublin?

I don't really know, I didn't go out. I am quite far from the city center, but I know there are some good pubs and clubs.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Dublin to other students?

Yes, the UCD is a very good university and the people are very friendly here.

What is the food like?

The food is not top quality, but it could be much worse.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Dublin?

Yes, I came in the summer to find an accommodation.

How much does it cost to live in Dublin?

700euro/month (rent+breakfast+dinner), but you also have to pay for public transport and lunch(another 150/month).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, and I think so.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Dublin from your city?

By plane.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are many, a lot of museums, the prison, Phoenix Park, botanical gardens, New Grange, other cities, Wicklow Mountains...

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Dublin in the future?

Enter a student club for international students. They offer some great trips all over Ireland. How closer to the city, the more expensive the accommodation, but it is easier to go out than.
