What is it like to live in Delft? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
It's a student city, nothing much to do here. the shops close as early as 6 p. m., but there are a few supermarkets open until 10 p. m. It's good and peaceful.
What is the student lifestyle like in Delft?
It's pretty intense courses here. You will find the students spend most of the time in the library, however, the holidays are also spent at the lakeside doing barbeque during summers and in addition, there are also a few pubs and bars which are student friendly, to make sure you don't miss out on the nightlife.
How much does it cost to live in Delft?
Around 300 euro, except for the rent.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Delft? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes! A lot. Look for short stay accommodations.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There are a few good restaurants. I like the nacho platter at Kobus Kuch.
What places would you recommend visiting in Delft?
The lake, IKEA, TU Delft, the Oostport, Vermeer Centrum Delft, Stadhuis, Prinsenhof, Stedelijk Museum Het Prinsenhof...
Is it good to eat out in Delft? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Not really.
Is the nightlife good in Delft? Where is good to go?
Kind of there are only 2-3 nightclubs.
What advice would you give future students heading to Delft?
Start looking for housing really soon and study hard. It's not going to be easy.
