Why did you choose to go to Delft, Netherlands?

To make an internship at the TU Delft (University). Delft is composed of 30% of students. They all study a technical field. There is a lot of engineers, technical masters, researchers...

What is the student lifestyle like in Delft?

Basically Fraternities, flatsharing...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Delft to other students?

Yes. There is 30% of students on the city.

What is the food like?

They eat a lot of vegetables.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Delft?

It wasn't difficult to find an accomodation in Delft as they do a lot of flatsharing. You can find easily an accomodation for cheap price. By example, I paid 270 € per month.

How much does it cost to live in Delft?

It doesn't cost a lot compared to other big city in Holland or compare to the price in other european country.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

For my part I wasn't here to learn Dutch then I don't know if it's easy to find course of dutch. But I can say that they speak well in english and they are open minded then you can easily discuss with people.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Delft from your city?

From Paris the cheapest way to go to Delft is to take a bus or to do a carsharing with blablacar

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Delft?

There is many good bars in Delft, but the best is to take a train for Rotterdam (10 min / Ticket price : 3€) and to go to Rotterdam (the 2nd most big city in Holland).

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Delft?

There is all the classic fast food as you can imagine, you can also find many french restaurants...

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Delft is a beautiful city, there is canals everywhere, there is big church, 2 huge parcs with lac, you have also the beach not so far, near to Den Haag.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Delft in the future?

If you research a peace and students place to your internship, Delft is the place to be.
