What is it like to live in Debrecen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

If you are a fun person that like loud cities then Debrecen is not for you as it is too quiet and calm,it's very good for student life relating to studies.

What is the student lifestyle like in Debrecen?

Lifestyle is okay,most things you do are going to the cinema,clubs!!!,nice bars to drink and relax. Then food courts and shopping.

How much does it cost to live in Debrecen?

It actually depends on the individuals lifestyle $600 would actually be enough for me to use on accommodation,transport,feeding and extracurricular activities but some people might need larger amounts due to different lifestyle.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Debrecen? Is there any advice you can give?

No,it is not just have the right agents to guide you,know what you want and have money,you can also find really cheap places that are still beautiful but most of the time the flat is for 2 people,you hardly find one bedroom that is beautiful and also cheap.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

I normally cook or order online through the www.visitme.hu website they have different restaurants you can order from and the food is nice even seat ins are delicious too also buy what you know or feel you can experiment on.

What places would you recommend visiting in Debrecen?

To me there's really not much fancy stuff to recommend or I haven't more yet in my 4 years of stay cos different things appeal to different people and also with the language barrier even if something interesting is going to happen you are not prepared or do not know about it so you miss out on mant stuffs or you just meet it on your way out,but you can visit the Museum,the restaurants mentioned above,cinema city,paparazzi bar,fares happen,the flower festival in July,campus festival around July/August,circus come in around some time in the year you would know about that cos posters would be everywhere all in Hungarian you can also figure other things you might like when you come over.
