What is the student lifestyle like in Debrecen?
The town is pretty calm and quiet. Especially after work hours. It's a very student friendly town, as most people living here are either students or small families. There are few good places to study at including the main building library. Few cool university clubs and pubs as well :)
Would you recommend the city and the University of Debrecen to other students?
If they don't mind living in a small town of population around 200,000, yes. For me I'd prefer to live in a big city where I have so many options for things to do or places to go
What is the food like?
We cook at home most of the time
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Debrecen?
I found the apartment I'm living through Facebook and communicated directly with the landlord
How much does it cost to live in Debrecen?
Around 50,000 Huf per person + bills which are around 30,000 huf in the winter
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
No not easy. Yes there is two free Hungarian courses that you can take as optional courses as well as German
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Debrecen from your city?
I came from Amman, Jordan by a plane through Romania
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Debrecen?
Bakelit!

Salad box (for salads and soups) is my favorite.
