Why did you choose to go to Córdoba, Spain?
I chose to do my internship at the University of Cordoba (Rabanales campus) because of its reputation in the field of computer science.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My internship lasted 3 months. It was funded by my university. I received 1400 euro a month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Córdoba?
The life of the students in Cordoba is not difficult, all means are available at the university.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Córdoba to other students?
I recommend Campus de Rabanales for students who study computer science.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Córdoba?
Not so much, with the Erasmusu service, it was fine. I strongly recommend that you use this service safely.
How much does it cost to live in Córdoba?
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
I was a PhD student, I used English at university. But outside, I found difficulties to communicate because I do not speak Spanish. It is difficult to find someone who speaks English, I often used a translation application.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Córdoba from your city?
The train is the best way to get to Cordoba from Madrid. Often the prices are not the same for the same day. It is better to choose the right time with your budjet. The price can vary from 48 euros up to 105 euros in the same day.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There are many tourist sites to visit. The first is the Medina El Zahara, a magnificent historical site, it is necessary to overtake to visit it. There is also the Alcazar Park, the Roman Bridge and the Cathedral Mosque which is located in a very old neighborhood in the form of a labyrinth. It is necessary to spend a relaxing session in the Andalusian bath which is not far from the mosquet, it is a very charming and beautiful place.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Córdoba in the future?
The city of Cordoba is known for its mediterranean climate which is not very cold compared to the rest of Europe. According to the duration I spent from November to the end of December, the morning is often very cold,. From 9 am the sky is sunny.
