Why did you choose to go to Córdoba, España?

It was a place that not many people knew about when saying that you studied in Spain and it is one of the prettiest towns in Spain.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I am not sure.

What is the student lifestyle like in Córdoba?

They have an Erasmus family (link to "Erahmuh Family" Córdoba) and the Erasmus Student Network (link to ESN Córdoba) that organise events all the time throughout the week.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Córdoba to other students?

Yes, the old town is great, particularly the Mosque and sights from the Roman bridge There you have everything you need. The only missing thing is a beach, otherwise it would be perfect. There are loads of Erasmus students too, so you don't feel alone.

What is the food like?

It is very good for a fair price when eating out even in popular places.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Córdoba?

No, I used Erasmusu to find a home and put a deposit down.

How much does it cost to live in Córdoba?

It is roughly €500 a month with good food at home and eating out plus rent.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, there is a course for 2 weeks before the beginning of each semester. And one thing more: they use a few words that are shortened down, like "buenas" instead of "buenos días".

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Córdoba from your city?

I arrived there flying from England.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Córdoba?

Jazz Café, Góngora Gran Café, Bambú Club, Banagher Irish pub, O'Donogues Irish pub, etc.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Córdoba?

Goiko Grill, La Tagliatella, el Mercado de la Victoria (gourmet market with stands), Restaurante "El Rincón de Carmen", etc.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are too many to list: Saint Bartholomew's Chapel, the Synagogue and Sefarad's House, the Andalusian House and "the patios" in May, etc.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Córdoba in the future?

Just go here. 45 mins from Seville and Málaga by train but at the same time there is no airport, so you'll have to fly to Málaga as that's usually the cheapest airport. So it will add extra travel time.
