Experience in Colmar, France by Garance

What is it like to live in Colmar? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It's a beautiful little city, where you are more likely to meet wealthy crowds and families. There are not a lot of students, and the nightlife/entertainment scene is not really crazy out there. It is nice to go out, walk around and have a cozy coffee or enjoy the local gastronomy. There are very nice museum (Musée Bartholdi, Musée Unterlinden for example) and I highly recommend to take your car or your bike to discover the landscapes around this area. Christmas markets and wine cellars are a must ! Drive along the "route des vins" (the wine road) to visit the beautiful little villages and taste local specialities ! During the summertime, you will have the possibility to attend many different festivals (jazz, classical music ...) where well known musicians are invited to perform.
