How much does it cost to live in Coimbra?

Coimbra is a pretty cheap city to live. From a meal under 7€ to a night out under 10€ you can find everything suitable to your pocket. Additionally, if you look for a relaxing breakfast, in jardim da Sereia you will find a lovely cafe with a lot of cheap options, or even if you feel like going to the theatre, Teatro Académico Gil Viente offers a lot of valuable pieces worth to watch and at great prices.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Coimbra? Is there any advice you can give?

Start looking online, you will easily find a lot of different and affordable options. My advice would be: always try to check the house before signing any contract or paying any deposit. If you don't have that option, at least ask for a lot of pictures, get in touch with the landlords and ask all the questions. Also, there are great groups on Facebook for bedrooms to rent, unfortunately all in Portuguese, but they will include the words "quartos" (rooms) and "alugar" (rent). These are usually posted by students or landlords themselves and tend to be save. :)

Is the nightlife good in Coimbra? Where is good to go?

I dare to say that the environment in a night out on Coimbra is one of the best in Europe. You will find everything from small bars where you have to go, such as Bigorna, Cabido and RS, they will offer you the best of Coimbra with great offers on shots, amazing environment and the chance to meet a lot of Erasmus people. After that, of course you have several discos, if you feel like dancing until the sun rises, such as Twiit and NL. The entrance is usually never more than 2€ and drinks are affordable. One thing to point out is the amazing environment in Sé Velha, where the first bar I mentioned is located, it is most definitely a must in Coimbra.
