Why did you choose to go to Coimbra, Portugal?

To learn the language.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I have a scholarship for one year. Monthly 500 euros, it's enough.

What is the student lifestyle like in Coimbra?

Very nice, because lot of students from different countries live here, so you can meet a lot of people and you learn new cultures, new things.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Coimbra to other students?

Yes, because it changed my life.

What is the food like?

I have a big problem with this topic because I'm a Muslim and I can't eat everything here. But I can say their desserts are very good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Coimbra?

180 euro for the accommodation and 20 euro for bills.

How much does it cost to live in Coimbra?

500-600 euro a month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, our university has a language course for free.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Coimbra from your city?

By plane because my city is very far.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Coimbra?

"Mocambice cafe" is the best place for me.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Coimbra?

"Kebab Mir Baba" is a perfect place.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Coimbra in the future?

Before coming here, you can find every information on Facebook groups: Coimbra Erasmus, Erasmus Coimbra, Coimbra Erasmus Türkçe, etc. You can ask about everything and also you can find an apartment there.
