Why did you choose to go to Coimbra, Portugal?

Because of learning agreement possibilities and beautiful country.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

What is the student lifestyle like in Coimbra?

Party hard, but if you are not that into parties, like me for example, there are a lot of other possibilities like hiking, football, swimming, running, walking and meeting other non-partying students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Coimbra to other students?

Yes!

What is the food like?

The canteen is terrible, but in other places they have really tasty food for acceptable prices, they are best in fish.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Coimbra?

No, I found it on Facebook.

How much does it cost to live in Coimbra?

The base, rent for the room, bills and basic food is about 350 euro, but if you want to travel and do other things like parties, sport etc. it's more, I think about 550.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

They are available, but not that good. It's easy to learn the basics, but if you want to know more, then it becomes complicated.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Coimbra from your city?

I took a plane to Porto from Prague, then metro to the train station and a train to Coimbra (go to Coimbra A, it's in the centre and the ticket is the same price like Coimbra B).

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Coimbra?

Paco de Conde, places on Praça da Republica. .

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Coimbra in the future?

Take earplugs and enjoy it! It's a great experience, the first month is maybe more complicated, but later you will love it! :)
