Why did you choose to go to Coimbra, Portugal?

Because the University of Coimbra is very old and very good, because of good weather and because Portugal is an interesting country.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I receive 400 euro per month.

Students have a lot of parties here, there is also the biggest students festival in Europe in both spring and autumn semester.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Coimbra to other students?

What is the food like?

People eat a lot of meat here. I think it would be hard to be a vegetarian here, unless you would always cook for yourself.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Language courses are available for Erasmus students and teachers are usually very helpful if students don't speak Portuguese.

Take a flight to Porto or Lisbon and then reach Coimbra by train.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Coimbra?

There are a lot of places to go, Erasmus students usually go to NB or CCB, but I prefer pubs rather than clubs.

There are a lot of cheap canteens around the university.

First of all, the University itself, then downtown, churches, botanical garden...
