Why did you choose to go to Chania, Greece?

Because is amazing place, with good weather, and you can see wonderful places there. All people speak English, so is easy star the Erasmus

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

9 months, I recived about 230 € for month, but the life there is cheap.

What is the student lifestyle like in Chania?

Is a relax lifestyle, because when you finish your class you can go for enjoy to the beach, and you will have the Greek philosophy "siga, siga", sport, good relation with your teachers...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Chania to other students?

Sure, they help you in all, acomodation, free food in the university, they bring you the opcion for have your course in English..

What is the food like?

The food in Chania is amazing, I'm from Spain and I think we have the best food in the world, but Greece is the second one (with Italian) :) , I was living the last 6 months in England, and now I'm living in Germany and believe me, I will never forget the food there.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Chania?

Was really easy because the university was who found this for me, so when I was arrived, I had ready my flat.

How much does it cost to live in Chania?

With party, travels, flat...about 500€ you can life really good.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Normally the university for erasmus is in English, but anyway they bring for you Greek courses in the university and you have the option for do your studies in Greek.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Chania from your city?

You can flight Malaga-Chania in raynair, or go Madrid-Athens-Chania, there are one ferry Ahens-Chania really chip for the night, but is long travel (about 9 hours in the night 22,00 to 6,00)

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Chania?

There are to many discos, but I think this change a lot, is better if you ask to people when you will be there...

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Chania?

this is the same, when you arrived there you can ask, I remember one near the port really good, but I forgot the name, and other in the mountains was amazing.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

A lot, if you rental a car for the island you can see to many place with big history

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Chania in the future?

You can't lost this beach if you go there:

Balos and Elafonisi and you must travel to Gavdos! (The most hippy amazing place in the world)

And don't forget your sleeping bag (you will use when you go for sleep in diferent beaches).

And of course you must go to the Crete trip (Is one travel for erasmus people, all erasmus for Greece go one weekend to Heraklio).
