Why did you choose to go to Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic?

I wanted to choose a cheap place to live and travel as much as I could, and that’s what I’ve been doing until now.

I have stayed here for 5 months, and received around 200€ per month.

What is the student lifestyle like in Ceske Budejovice?

You can travel really cheap from here since the city is literally in the center of Europe, so we mostly traveled. You can also go shopping, grab a coffee or some cheap beers, party...

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ceske Budejovice to other students?

Yes, I would recomend it because it’s near a lot of beautiful places and cities where you can easily travel by bus, train or plane.

What is the food like?

Typical Czech food is a bit heavy, but very good.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ceske Budejovice?

Not really, the university offers you to stay at the dormitories, but there is an option of staying at the private dormitories (which is the one I chose), or to rent a flat.

How much does it cost to live in Ceske Budejovice?

You can live with less than 400€ per month.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Czech language isn’t easy, but the university offers you a beginners course.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ceske Budejovice from your city?

Travel by plane to Prague, and then you can either take a bus or train that will take you to the city.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ceske Budejovice?

Kampa on mondays, Maxim, Paradox, Komiks and K2.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

The city center, Stromovka, Hluvoká Castle in Ceske Budejovice, and then travel all around Europe.
