What is the student lifestyle like in Ceske Budejovice?

Majority of Erasmus students spends the weekends traveling across the country. Here is also a great ESN community that prepare many activities for incoming students, which is really nice.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Ceske Budejovice to other students?

To the ones that would like to live in a nice cozy city that is really silent at night. Everything is close together. University has a campus.

What is the food like?

Student canteen food is really cheap.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Ceske Budejovice?

I live in a student dorm. ~110€/month Depends of the dorm and with how many people you share your room. Dorms are not in the best conditions. I recommend K1 that has been renovated or K4.

How much does it cost to live in Ceske Budejovice?

It is comparable to my country.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

You can take Czech language course. It you are Slavic then it's not that hard.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Ceske Budejovice from your city?

train. Everything is very cheap with ISIC card. Prague is 2h away, and with ISIC it cost's you ~2€

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Ceske Budejovice?

There are few pubs and clubs. Depend on which beer you like. and what music do you like to listen to. Student's Kampa is the closest and the most favorable place.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

City centre of Budejovice is small, but beautiful. You have to visit also castle Hloboka and Česky krumlov.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Ceske Budejovice in the future?

If you prefer big cites with lot's of parties, night live even at weekends... don't go.
