Catania is a chaotic southern city. But wonderful place between the Etna Volcan and the sea. You can have great time studying and enjoying nature, monuments, pubs, concerts and shops.

I think it is happy and coloured there are many Erasmus students groups.

How much does it cost to live in Catania?

Non so much, it is a cheap city.

No, it isn't, if you want a basic accommodation.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is amazing! You can eat a lot of fish and seafood or the typical 'rosticceria' such us 'arancini', 'pizzette', 'cartocciata'. You will find a very rich typical pastry and very good ice creams and 'granita'!

What places would you recommend visiting in Catania?

From the port (Molo do levante) you can see the city from the sea.

You have to visit the Bellini Museum, the Greek amphitheatre, the Duomo, the Castello Ursino, the Bellini Theater. You can take a walk through via Etnea and the park (Villa Bellini) and then have a drink or eat in piazza Teatro Massimo.

Yes, you can eat good everywhere.

Is the nightlife good in Catania? Where is good to go?

Yes, Catania is a lovely city at night.

You can go to the Ostello or in piazza Teatro Massimo: there you will find a lot of pubs, people and music!
