What is it like to live in Catania? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I reccomend Catania above All in summer because the weather is warm and from may you can even go to the beach and beach parties!

What is the student lifestyle like in Catania?

Students who live in Catania go out everyday because you always can find a place to have fun for every day of the week in the centre of the city. In teatro massimo square you can find some pubs and a lot of people.

How much does it cost to live in Catania?

Usually Catania is cheaper than other cities in the north of Italy. But I think it's like in Spain.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Catania? Is there any advice you can give?

I live with my parents so I really can't say anything about this but all my friends who live in Catania have found an accommodation before to arrive, so it's enough easy. Have a look on the Erasmus Catania page on Facebook!

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Italian food is amazing ! In Sicily there are do many dishes you can eat as "arancini" , "parmigiana", "pasta a forno", "caponatina", "sarde a baccafico" ,etc etc etc! and as sweets "cannoli" but in summer I suggest the famous "granita"!

What places would you recommend visiting in Catania?

I recommend to visit piazza stesicoro, duomo square, the cathedral, piazza teatro square, villa Bellini etc..

Is it good to eat out in Catania? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes it's very good! Everywhere in Catania you will eat well!

Is the nightlife good in Catania? Where is good to go?

I can suggest few places like "4 venti", "Barbara disco lab", "Mercati generali", "re noir", "moon", "officine83" etc..

What advice would you give future students heading to Catania?

To enjoy their Erasmus going to the parties and don't fall in love:)
