Catania is a beautiful city , people are kind and friendly, always ready to give you informations, advice and helps.

What is the student lifestyle like in Catania?

It's like having party every day, there are many events for student , like concert, disco party, exposition.

How much does it cost to live in Catania?

Catania is a very cheap town, you can drink and eat without spending too much money. Ok it depends on What you want to eat , and Where do you go But basicly is a cheap life style .

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Catania? Is there any advice you can give?

You can find accomodation easily by internet , on SUBITO.IT for example , But also in the university there are specific areas in the wall where are written accomodation depending on the area (for example near Law faculty or near medicine faculty and so on)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is the best one, But in general all italian food is good ; you can eat pasta or pizza , you will find them in each part of the city.

What places would you recommend visiting in Catania?

The place that I recommend in Catania is Villa Bellini that is a very big garden in the city center where you can chill with music , enjoy the sicilian sun and reading a book.
The market is open every morning till early morning in the city center , there are also some archeological areas .

Is it good to eat out in Catania? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

In Catania basicly you eat good in each place .

Is the nightlife good in Catania? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is good , all pubs are good, the area of the pubs is called Piazza Teatro Massimo, it is Full of pubs, instead the disco are not all central But sometimes you can Go there with the disco shuttle bus .

What advice would you give future students heading to Catania?

My advice is first of all to enjoy But to see also some cultural thing , Catania is an old city and has a very interesting history! So during free time in the morning or in the afternoon you can visit some archeologic area . The good thing of Catania is that all shops are open till 8:30 pm and also supermarket . There is also a big Market every morning where you can find everything: clothes, shoes , accessoriese and food !
