Studio Cambridge

Studio Cambridge is the oldest English language school in Cambridge. Established in 1954, it is just ten minutes walk from the city center. And there is Parker's Piece near it _ this is a park, where you can go with your friends and enjoy.

Studio Cambridge's Sir George programme is in its 6th year. It is an Intensive English language and activity programme. It differs from all summer programmes (except Sir William) by providing more English lessons.

It is an ideal course for students who wish to join a holiday course outside of the main summer months and who want to combine intensive English language study with a programme of activities and excursions. "

Studio Cambridge offers a wide range of General and Intensive English programmes, with examination preparation for IELTS and the Cambridge suite of exams. They have great learning facilities and "Cafe Studio" serves a variety of delicious foods, which I liked very much and the area is very clean and neat.

This is my letter about Studio Cambridge written after two weeks studying there at Studio Cambridge: "I’m Salome Laliashvili from Georgia (country) and I’m 17 years old. I had been studying at Studio Cambridge for two weeks in September 2010. It’s really short time to get to know everything, but it was a great experience I gained in Studio Cambridge".

My teacher on morning classes was Jessica. She is very friendly, joyful and nice teacher and she taught me many things, such as, to be self-confident and easy going. And my afternoon classes teacher was Dermot _ also friendly, cheerful and sometimes funny person surprising us with his stories and phrases, like: “Many, many, many centuries ago, when I was a little teacher…” After his lessons I realised I became really good at reading English texts just like he taught us.

I’m glad I came to Cambridge. I’ve always wanted to see those amazing buildings in gothic style and University of Cambridge and museums. Almost everyday I went to Fitzwilliam museum and couldn’t leave it untill its closing. I walked in the streets of Cambridge and felt safety and enjoyed walking all over the city center…

I really hope I can return to Cambridge one day and study there… in Studio, or in the University of Cambridge.
