1stly it is Kolkata and not Calcutta any more. It is a very happening and busy city to deal with. It is a place where Indian traditional culture is still visible being metro city and the largest city on India.
What is the student lifestyle like in Calcutta?
Good. Great minds teach in Kolkata and have great record of teaching and institutions. Life for student is good with so many things to do and explore.
How much does it cost to live in Calcutta?
It is the cheapest city of India and very affordable. Its value for money or more than what you pay.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Calcutta? Is there any advice you can give?
It is a little difficult to find an accommodation. Would advise an agent.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Food is unbelievably amazing. With so many varieties to chose from Stomach will be full but mind would like to try more.
What places would you recommend visiting in Calcutta?
Central kolkata. Esplanade, Victoria palace, Tollygunge club, Science city, Ramakrishna Mission Library, The Imperial Library , College of Fort William, Dwarakanath Tagore, Marble palace, town hall and much more
Is it good to eat out in Calcutta? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
it is amazing to eat out in Kolkata . There cant be favourite spots as all are good many joints to choose from.
Is the nightlife good in Calcutta? Where is good to go?
Nightlife is good with India's largest disco. place to is park hotel and grand hotel.
What advice would you give future students heading to Calcutta?
Get your accommodation by an agent which won't be expensive. Go through all the available place in and around Kolkata as there is a lot to explore and it needs to be planned.
