What is it like to live in Calcutta? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Calcutta is famously called the city of joy. And living here is a joy in itself. The city is a living and breathing example of a never ending carnival with lots of things to do and eat. Definitely reccomended.
What is the student lifestyle like in Calcutta?
Upto graduation i.e bachelors is maximum the city with its updating education system afford. The student lifestyle will be cheap, but nowhere near the experience provided by cities like Pune or Bangalore.
How much does it cost to live in Calcutta?
A person can have a wholesome meal at less than. €1. The cheapest place in India but that doesn't mean it compromises in quality. Not at all.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Calcutta? Is there any advice you can give?
Finding accommodation anywhere is a tedious task. There are various Facebook groups through which you can get accomodation
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is lip smacking delicious. My favourite dishes include egg rolls, biriyani and phucka (panipuri or golgappa)
What places would you recommend visiting in Calcutta?

Nightlife in any metro city is happening.
