Calcutta is now called Kolkata, is a large city and once was the capital of British India. It's very less expensive compared to any other cities. It's mixture of all the cultures specially Bengali (Sweetest language in the world) Culture and it's also full of landscapes which includes creations of British East India Company.

What is the student lifestyle like in Calcutta?

Student lifestyle is very good if you are loving in city centre or in salt Lake. You will find stores of all the brands here in Calcutta.

How much does it cost to live in Calcutta?

It's very less expensive city to live in.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Calcutta? Is there any advice you can give?

Not at all. As I said the city is cheap to live in. Accommodation price depends on the location you want to stay in, city centre & salt Lake area is little bit expensive though.

Is it good to eat out in Calcutta? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Calcutta is known for its Bengali culture, so I would obviously recommend you to try Bengali foods.
