What is the student lifestyle like in Calcutta?

Students coming from outside mostly are staying in A.C rooms with internet and other facilities also. If you pay a little higher you can also get the catering service included.

How much does it cost to live in Calcutta?

For a student is mostly like $300 if you wanna maintain a pretty good lifestyle. I know it is really cheap :)

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Calcutta? Is there any advice you can give?

Although it's a major problem, I think there are so many agencies making it less difficult to find any accomodation here. Beware of the frauds.

What places would you recommend visiting in Calcutta?

Park street - highly recommended. Well, the South City side is also good, and rabindra Sadan - so many interesting visiting spot over there :)

Is it good to eat out in Calcutta? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yep, we have a grand unification of so many different cultures in Calcutta.So, you can find all sorta food over here. You can try out different restaurants in the Park Street.

Is the nightlife good in Calcutta? Where is good to go?

It's good but there are certain places which are to be avoided. As per my advice, it is good to get back into your dorm within 23:00

What advice would you give future students heading to Calcutta?

Just enjoy your life here. I bet you never had this experience because we love to party, we love to live and you'll like it .
