I'm trying to slowly reveal my party animal just so you guys would be prepared... Jokes, I'm actually not a party animal at all, I'm so vanilla. But every vanilla needs to experience some craziness once in a while. I don't know where I'm going with this so let me spare you the pointless conversations and get right into the topic; in this piece we are going to describe the best Budapest clubs out there because well you guys deserve the best partying experience out there and I'm sure you can put my advice into good use.

Like I said above, I'm not a hardcore party person, I prefer house parties to clubs but I do enjoy an occasional club night and going full crazy. So without further delay, let's go and discover all the places you could go to.

1) ötkert club

Pronounced like a strong O, everything in this club is strong, from the music to the drinks and the people. ötkert has just as easily converted into one of Budapest's hottest clubs, actually the hottest club; as my friends always say, ötkert is the place to be. But this includes a trick. So let's see what it is. I totally agree that ötkert is one of Budapest's hottest clubs and it has fire music for sure but there is a catch, it's not the hottest club on friday or saturday nights as opposed to popular belief, it's actually the hottest club on thursday nights, don't forget this because not everyone knows it. I for example didn't know this until my friends took me there this thursday night and that was when I realized that i've been going to ötkert on the wrong nights.

That doesn't mean that on weekends it's not good but truth is it's just not as good. But yea anyways, on friday and saturday nights it's free for women and guys have to pay, but on thursday nights everyone has to pay like 1000 forints, which is like 3 Euros so we had no problem having to pay for a club. It is overcrowded yes, you will probably die of the heat but sometimes they open their roof and then you can feel that fresh air hitting you in the face. On thursdays their music is mostly R&B and Reggaeton which are my favorite genres of music when it comes to dancing. However on weekends I would say that it's mostly EDM and electronic music (ok both are the same). hmm what else? oh be prepared to wait in line for like half an hour at least till you get in, unless of course you are VIP in that case you don't need to wait in line. Also have your ID with you, on some nights they actually check it and not having it will definitely result in you getting kicked out. It's open until 3 am and we usually go there by 1 am; that's when the party is lit as hell. Okay I think I covered everything about it, let's give a chance to the rest of the clubs.

2) 4bro downtown

Well, this is another famous club, although I don't think it's as good as otkert however it's not bad to be at. They have really good music, and free entry for women, I think guys have to pay around 2000 forints. The club isn't too large but it has two dance floors and the top dance floor is better, the one downstairs can be slightly weird at times, don't tell me I didn't tell you. Okay what is it that I dont like about 4Bro? well I was approached by extremely drunk and disrespectful guys that night and so well I don't have the greatest memory, I just don't think the best people go there to be honest, no offense. Okay but I gotta give it to them with the music, they've got fire music, worth a visit. Maybe it will be different for you guys.

3) Akvarium club

This is the club that we went to for Halloween actually, if remember I wrote a piece on it. Super large club with a lot of dance floors, I definitely liked it here, they had different rooms and so you had the option to choose which room you wanna be in, I generally liked the atomsphere of this club, it was chic. But to be honest Akvarium is the best when there is an event going on there but not usually for normal weekends.

4) Peaches and cream

Okay well let's see what's good about this one, hmm the alcohol is crazy cheap I guess, a lot of people go here for the alcohol and the cheap shots; I mean actual shots nothing else. (that was a bad joke, let's ignore it). They are also famous for their good R&B music, they say if you like R&B go to Peaches and cream, although listening to the same songs over and over again might get boring a little bit after a while but it's still a fun experience; oh I almost forgot that this club is full of Erasmus students so it's again a good opportunity to meet some fellow Erasmus students and socialize a bit.

5) Hello Baby Bar

Okay I know the name sounds so lame, I literally didn't go here for such a long time because well it's name is stupid. However it's more of a ruin pub, and ruin club and so it's cool to go to. As for the music it's a music of R&B and EDM, not a bad mix I'd say I'd rate it 7/10. They also have really good events, like welcome parties for International students, new years event and etc. It's usually full of students and less locals, they're mostly international as opposed to other clubs and bars. Oh also the best time to go here is on friday nights

Okay for now have fun with these clubs, so i can go discover some new clubs and write reviews on them, honestly I have been going to the same clubs over and over again and so I gotta bring back the club diversity a little.

Hope you guys find this piece helpful

Cheers!
