Breda is a very nice city to live in, there is always fun things to do and the people who live here are very friendly and helpful. I would really recommend living in Breda, a lot of students live here, also many international students.

What is the student lifestyle like in Breda?

Students in Breda love to go out and have fun with friends. There are many clubs and bars in Breda students like to go to, especially during the weekdays. There are also many restaurants in the city centre, when it is summer people love to sit outside on the terraces. There are many student associations, sororities and fraternities in Breda, I am in a sorority myself, Sorority Inana.

How much does it cost to live in Breda?

Breda is not a very expensive city to live in, groceries are very cheap and the drinks are not that expensive, though it depends on the bars you go to. The rooms can be cheap but also expensive, there are rooms that only cost 350 euro per month. You can make it as expensive as you want to.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Breda? Is there any advice you can give?

Yes, it is difficult to find an accommodation. A smart thing to do is to start early with searching for rooms, because many students would like to live in Breda.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Do not worry about the food in Breda, it is lovely! You can eat every type of food: French, Mexican, Italian, Chinese and much more. My favourite dishes are carpaccio, ravioli, peppersteak, I basically like everything!

What places would you recommend visiting in Breda?

The city centre of Breda is lovely. There are many shops, restaurants and bars are located there. When it is summer people love to go out and sit outside on the terraces and have drinks. Furthermore, the Galderse Meren are worth visiting in summer, if you feel like going to the beach and water you should go there to relax and enjoy the weather.

Is it good to eat out in Breda? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are so many restaurants in Breda, there is a lot of choice. Together with my sorority I eat out a lot at Bruxelles, the food is very good and the atmosphere is very cosy and fun. Furthermore, I love Con Fuego and De Boterhal. However, like I said, there are so many good restaurants, you should find out yourself!

Is the nightlife good in Breda? Where is good to go?

Nightlife in Breda is great! The student associations in Breda organise a lot of parties throughout the year, which are definitely worth visiting. At the 'Havermarkt' there are nice bars, such as Peddels, Dependance and Proost.

What advice would you give future students heading to Breda?

Do not be scared to come to Breda, the people here are very nice and Breda is a very international city. You will definilty feel like home in Breda!
