The moment you walk into the psychedelic tunnel entrance you know this place is different from all the generic clubs you can find in every big city.
SubClub is a alternative music club, situated in a soviet bunker, right under the Bratislava castle, with a view on the famous UFO tower. The acoustics here are so good you can already feel the bass vibrating through your organs when you enter the second grafitti-covered tunnel. The smoky dancefloor is small enough to have everyone moving like crazy to the never stopping beat.
I was there on a special drum'n bass night with a live beatboxer and the place was just banging. But I didn't go there for the music or the cheap slovak beer. I went for the ambiance, in this place where young new style grinds together with the shadow of the not-too-distant past. Add to that a touch of eastern european unstoppable partying and you've got yourself a club that gives a new definition to the "underground" movement.
