Why did you choose to go to Brasov, Romania?

Because it seemed like a green city, and cheaper compared to France.

How long is your stay? How much financial support do you receive?

A year with about 450 euros support.

What's the student atmosphere like in Brasov?

We go out a lot with the association for Erasmus students. We go out and about every other day.

Would you recommend the city and the university of Brasov to other students?

The city yes but as for the university, they don't do my discipline (communication) so I'm in languages. I'm not particularly interested in it but the teachers are nice with the Erasmus students.

What's the food like in this country?

Lots of pork and cabbage. It's not bad!

Have you had any difficulties finding accommodation in Brasov?

I was in a student residence at the start because uni put us there automatically. No matter what, you'll have accommodation but I found my own accommodation as well because for a year that's better. The rooms in the residence are too small and have no kitchens.

What's the cost of living in Brasov?

Very cheap.

How's the language learning going? Have you been to a language course organised by the university?

Yes, one hour per week.

What is the most economical way of getting to Brasov from your hometown?

Plane.

Where would you recommend for going out in Brasov?

There are lots of really good bars.

The cheapest is the 'britania' where you can get 0. 5 l beers for less than a euro

What cultural visits would you recommend?

A walk to the 'brasov' letters.

Any advice for future students in Brasov?

I think you'll really love this city. It's not very big and it's pretty friendly.
