Why did you choose to go to Braşov, Rumania?

Because I didn't know anything about the country and I wanted to know the culture and rumanian people.

What is the student lifestyle like in Braşov?

It's so cheap for students.

The students don't go out a lot to a discos, but they go out to pubs in the center of the city.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Braşov to other students?

Yes, it's a wonderful experience.

What is the food like?

The food is so good, they have a culture around the food. The most popular are the "ciorbe" (vegetables and meat soup), "sarmale" (wine leaves filled with meat and rice), "mamaliga cu branza" (curnmeal mush with cheese) and a lot of kind of meat.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Braşov?

The university gave us accommodation in a residence of Brasov.

How much does it cost to live in Braşov?

It is so cheap.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There are rumanian language courses at the university one day per week. And if your language comes from a latin root, is going to be easy for you.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Braşov from your city?

By plane with Blueair or Wizzair.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Braşov?

The best pub is Britannia at Strada Republicii, Square, and Street cafe that is open 24h. For a disco Social pub is ok I don't recommend Goha because the bodyguards are not nice, they don't like foreign people.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Braşov?

Sergiana is one of the best and is in the center of the city.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Poiana Brasov where there is the ski station, the towers of the city, the Citadel, the old center.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Braşov in the future?
