Reunion in paradise
On Sunday I could finally meet Kellen, my Brazilian friend, who I hadn’t seen for almost a month. The thing is that both of us were travelling in Spain, however not at the same time and thus, we always happened to avoid each other. But yesterday, we finally had our reunion and the location was simply perfect!
As we both are sweet-toothed, she told me she was going to take me to a place that I would just love. She was right! We had breakfast in paradise under the name of Chocolatería Valor. They specialize in hot chocolates but they offer churros, crepes, waffles, cakes, chocolate bonbons and anything that you can imagine. The prices are a little bit high, but once in a while it is definitely worth it.
While she was enjoying her crepe with ice cream and I was enjoying my waffles with different types of fruit, we had a long talk and we caught up on all the stories and gossips we missed during these weeks. I find it so interesting how much she has changed since her arrival. I believe this is what travelling does to us: we get to meet so many new people, we get to see so many new things that we realize there is no such thing as a standard truth or reality. There are people with different point of views and cultures with different rules. And this is the whole beauty of it…
I had a lot of fun and I would definitely like to go back to the place. The only negative factor was the service, as we had to wait quite a while for the food and for the bill as well, but in total, it was a perfect start to my day.
