No place like Home

Celebrating Christmas within walking distance from the sea would have been a bit strange for me. As a matter of fact, I am accustomed to spend the Christmas holidays in Northern Italy, with a fairly different weather (quite cold, wet, and rainy or, in the best of cases, snowy). However, though it took me two or three days (during which I was almost voiceless) to recover from the climatic shock, there is no other place in which I wish to be in Christmas time.

My little village as well seems more enchanting after a few months away, though maybe every village does, in Christmas time. Anyway, it is really true there is no place like home.
