Must drink in Hanoi - Egg coffee (Vietnamese: cà phê trứng)

My courage to taste egg coffee

I always tell my friends that we eat everything, we drink everything in Vietnam. Egg coffee is one of the special drinks that make everyone feel hesitated to try or not. Several friends of mine don’t feel comfortable to try egg coffee when they are in Vietnam.

I myself felt the same until 2015 when I went to one of the most famous coffee shops in Hanoi with a group of international friends. And I wish I would have tried it earlier because I love the special taste of it.

How does it taste?

For me, it is like eating cream at the beginning and it is like normally black sugar coffee when it comes to the bottom. Therefore, if you are not familiar with strong black coffee, you should try the first layer then mixed the drink then slowly drink it.
