Milka cows missing
Hello all!
I heard them calling in the distance
So I packed my things and ran...
These short lyrics from 'Of monsters and men' inspired me in writing my second post. The title of the song is Mountain Sound, and it's about running away in the woods, and nature's closeness. This song resonates with my feelings when I see the beautiful mountains in Steiermark (that region of Austria where I arrived, and where Graz is situated as well) and which is going to be my home for 2 months.
Compared with Hungary, which is an immense plain, the train journey towards my destination left me without words.
I underestimated Austria at the beginning, because I don't know anything about their gastronomy, artists or athletes, nor their scientists, famous people or movies, but I am absolutely respectful and doubtless, that this country is more special than I could imagine at the beginning. The untouched green nature incarnates infinitude and freedom. I haven't seen such a beautiful landscape since years. Only the purple Milka cows were missing, I saw only the usually brown-white ones sunbathing over the hills.
Graz is also surrounded by hills, there's plenty of parks, gardens, forests in the city and also in the nearby regions. You can't feel anything, but joy if you suddenly find yourself accompanied by nature's treasures.
In conclusion, rule number one:
- There is no greener European country than Austria. (At least Styria seems greener than any other place I've been to.)
P.s.: Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I'm not a professional photographer.
Thank You for reading. Bis später, Dóra
