The time before Christmas shouldn't just be all about finishing exams and packing your bags, it should also be about having fun, being with friends and to get new experiences!

If you're studying or having a internship/traineeship abroad during the fall semester this is also the last month and time to spend with your new friends before departuring.

If you're in middle Europe, or perhaps elsewere as well if possible, I suggest going to the Christmas markets

They're great for hanging out, having osme food or hot drink with friends, but also for finding some crafts, baked goods or crafts which will make excellent Christmas gifts for your family, or as souvenirs.

Usually the Christmas markets either opens around middle November, or during the last weekend of November.

The markets I went to were in Vienna. Here you have lots of them! In all sizes and selling all kinds of stuff.

Schloss Belvedere had an old feeling to it. The booths were beautifuly decorated with lights, and they sold everything from bowls and cups to ornaments from your Christmas tree. After dark the atmosphere changes, the air is filled with great smells and you just have to stop and thake in the view.

The one outside the Rathaus is the biggest one. Here you even have a skate rink! You can rent skates and enjoy the ice. It's also wonderful watching the children running around. There's a small train here which take you around, to have a look at everything which must be perfect with younger children.

Here you can find everything! Hot drinks, food, cold drinks, punch, cider, wine, bratworst, soup, buns, ginger bread cookies, other cakes.. IT'S WONDERFUL!

The lights in the trees and decorations everywhere really sets the mood.

But, wait! There's still more!  So much places to visit and enjoy!

Schloss Schönbrunn

And still there's more which I haven't mentioned!

It's amazing, and I truly suggest for you to give it a visit :)

And: as you can see in the two last pictures, when you buy a hot drink you pay a few extra euros from a mug which you can give back and get your euros back- or you kan keep it!   THIS IS THE WAY TO GO TO SAVE OUR PLANET! WELL DONE

Merry Christmas to you all!
