Ill and a little like a fish out of water

So, it has been a while. 

Firstly, my French is still awful, I have been here just under a month and I still struggle with basic phrases (not helped by my current sore throat!! The thing is by the time i have thought how to compress a phrase into a tiny sentence which may or may not make me look like an idiot, I have to think how to say it (which I often cannot) and then I realise that the conversation has moved swiftly on without me. I just do not want to come accross weird. Well, something is going to have to give.

Living in France is expensive, I still have no idea how to pay my rent which is fairly scary and my mum sent me some parcels which apparently have not arrived :( missing home a little bit now, I had been waiting for it so here it is. I went out a fair few times this week and maybe that has something to do with my sore throat but either way, I am meant to be doing a 10km on Sunday, I am neither prepared or healthy enough for it, one day at a time :( at least it will get me out even if it takes 3 hours. 

Officially not too much of a positive outlook on this post but it will get better, I have everthing fixed, apart from the language barrier so lets see how it goes...
