Culture, Living and Hits in the Morocco

~Amazigh (Berberians):

Morocco has a large fan in terms of climate and culture. The basic thing is the country has different types of cultures and different types of climates. Before the Arabic, Berberian was living in that place. Amazigh was the ethnic group of North Africa. The name Berber was given to the native population in North Africa by the Roma, and this word comes from the root of the "barbarian". Thus, some of them prefer to call 'Amazigh' instead of 'Berber'. Others think there is no drawback to call as 'Berber'.

Muslims conquered Africa in the seventh century. Berberian's ethnic identity more prominent than their religious identity. Generally, they are Sunni Muslims. As I observed, Berberian people more open-minded and warm-blooded than Morocco's Arabic. Their language and alphabet different than Latin. I want to learn this language so my friend helps me with learning this language. The "pictograms" in my picture below are from the Amazigh alphabet.

Producing rug is quite common due to Berberian people live nomad and semi-nomadic lifestyles. Turkey's rug and Berberian's rug almost similar. But as I observed there is an only difference: Although Turkey's rugs have two side tassels, Berberian's rugs have only a side tassel.

I took your photo in a barber village near Merzouga. Vegetables quiet fresh. Sellers quite honest. I recommend, if you are not vegetarian you might eat meat.

~Darija (Moroccan Arabic):

Darija Dialect Nin Amazigh, used in Morocco Ta, is said to be influenced by French and Spanish Dan. Therefore, Arab's countries difficult to understand Darija's dialect. However, Moroccans can understand other Arabic dialects easily. The biggest reason is which is made tv series, books, movies and kinds of music by other Arabic countries. Also, Moroccans who is going to Madrasah at a young age can learn Classic Arabic. They can speak and read easily.

~Morocco: The Center of Cultural Differences:

We can say that many cultures are integrated in Morocco because of the conquest of North Africa by France and Spain. Especially, you will see many words are Spanish in North of Morocco like Tangier, El Hoceima, Chechaouene, Nador, Oujda. For example, the refrigerator in these northern cities is called the Spanish word "refrigerator".In the same way, the word "guardarropa", which means wardrobe in Spanish, is used instead of the Arabic equivalent. That is why even Moroccans traveling from southern cities to northern cities have difficulty in understanding some words sometimes used in northern cities. There are many example words like these. At the same time, in these cities, almost everybody speaks Spanish in restaurants or markets. This is because the Spanish occupation and the northern part of Morocco are close to the Spanish territory. At the same time, the majority of the Moroccan population speaks French, because of the high school education in Morocco, especially after secondary school. My Moroccan friends in Morocco complain that their education system is one of the worst educational systems in the world. The most important reason for this is that education is up to secondary school in Arabic and they suddenly have to pass to French in high school. For instance, people who are speaking French, Spanish and English are known as elite in Turkey. When you shopping from a tradesman, he or she can speak French.

Morocco has different types of culture which is another evidence is this city has only a shopping center which name is "Borj Fez" 春節-Chinese New Year (28 January 2017) celebrates.

As you see in the pictures, inside and outside decorated pursuant Chinese New Year.

In spite of, pretty much time passed they did not modify decorations? If you are in Morocco, that's mean you do not have time notion. Do not surprised because of these delays and disruptions.

~ Hits For Shopping and Daily Life In Morocco :

Although most of the population speak Spanish and French, Turkish people can slog because in Turkey people use English as a second language so if they do not know Spanish or French, probably they will get slog in shopping or something. So my advice is to know the numbers in the Darija dialect that are up to her and a few simple expressions.

• "mrehba" veya "Ssalam": These words Hi or Hello in English.
• "Ssalamū 'lekum": Similar with hello and hi.
• "labas 'lik? " veya "kidayr? ": These words mean is how are you.
• "shno smītek? ": What is your name.
• "ana smītī": My name is....
• "besseha": Get better or get healthy actually these expressions do not have exact mean in english.
• "smeh līya": sorry
• "shukran": Probably you will use this word mostly. That s mean "thank you".
• "bezzef": Another word is which is mostly you use "Much" or "Very".
