What is it like to live in Birmingham? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Birmingham is the second biggest City in England which has a lot to offer to young people. If somebody is not bothered by the rainy British weather and would like to improve their English and enhance knowledge from studied field - UK Universities are a good place to be. British Educational Institutions are one of the best in Europe. Secondly Birmingham has massive Shopping Centers, Cinemas and Theaters. Lots of cultural events take place throughout the year.
What is the student lifestyle like in Birmingham?
Student activities are based on participation in various societies, clubs and sport teams. Almost each University gives a chance to take part e in various classes like: sport-related, drama, computing, management, environmental classes etc. Everyone can find something for themselves.
How much does it cost to live in Birmingham?
England in general is quite expensive compering to other European countries.
Those are approximate costs:
- Renting a room in a City center - around 300-350 ponds (bills included).
- Monthly bus pass - around 40 pounds. With a tram 67 pounds monthly.
- Food costs - depends if we cook on our own or not. If yes around 200 ponds monthly.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Birmingham? Is there any advice you can give?
There are lots of Agencies which help with that and also lots of apartments available.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
We can find kitchen for around the world although British food is quite heavy.
What places would you recommend visiting in Birmingham?
Bullring, Broad street

Victoria's Square
Is the nightlife good in Birmingham? Where is good to go?
There is one long street with clubs and pubs called Broad Street. ''Must see'' for students.
