Jump high, grab a chocolate and enjoy a tour at Cadbury World!

During my 2 years at the University of Worcester, I met many international students coming from very far countries – America, Canada, Russia or even Japan. A few days before I say my Japanese heading towards a train station. ‘’Where are you going? ‘’– I asked her, as she was so excited and jumping in the air.

‘’To the Cadbury Chocolate WORLD’’ – she said.

‘’Oh wow, I’ve never been there’’ – I replied with sadness in my voice, as my destination was workplace. However, this made me think – why students who have less time in this country are capable to visit more places than me for 2 years?! After this realisation, I took my time to plan and create a list of places I always wanted to visit but never had time. If I don’t make time now, then when?

Thus, I shared my idea with my best friend, who has been experiencing similar feelings. Let’s go to Birmingham! – I said probably inspired by my Japanese friend. And guess what? Next day early morning we are going to the Worcester Foregate Station to take a train to Birmingham! One day trip just became a reality.

RUSH Trampoline Park

Birmingham is the second-largest city in UK after London; thus it is a good place for shopping, parties and going out. It takes 45 min by train to get there from Worcester and the price of the ticket is just £ 10. We decided to aim for less, but high-quality time, therefore we agreed to go to RUSH Trampoline Park and after boosting our dopamine - Cadbury World.

Firstly, as you are a student, don’t forget to check your student discount and book tickets online. We paid £10.50 for 60 min jumping in different areas, from various heights and challenges. One of the most surprising things I realised included children, who had no fear to jump from any height! When you come to this place you will receive training (how to behave, what not to do, as you may be dismissed). Also, they give you special socks for jumping (very lovely present and memory). After that – you are ready to enter this amazing trampoline park! Remember, enjoy to the fullest every second, as your time is limited!

PS. You find this Trampoline Park at Lifford Ln, Birmingham B30 3DZ

Chocolate Factory in Birmingham - heaven for every kid

Next, after excited jumping full of positive energy we went to Cadbury World – real heaven on Earth for every chocolate lover. Despite the fact there were more children on that day, including one tour of Italian students, we were impressed with the modern tour, which kept our attention for more than 1 hour! We saw a real installation of how the chocolate is being produced from the first step, how cocoa beans grow, what manufacturing includes as well as had some fun at Purple planet. If you have seen movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp – this is how Cadbury World looks like. At the end of the exciting tour through the Aztec Jungle, we could enjoy our chocolate gifts (you receive Cadbury Chocolate bars at the entrance) and samples of any kind chocolate you want. I was so impressed with the personalized chocolate artwork, such as Cinderella’s shoe pantoufle de verre and such an astonishing variety of chocolate craft.

Even if you are not 10 years old, but in your mid 20, you will be so excited to play in chocolate rain, grow your own cocoa tree and chase Crème Egg. Our trip finished with 4D Chocolate Adventure, which was both funny, scare and made you experience a real rollercoaster ride through Cadbury Chocolate. Make sure you check the opening times online. Ticket price for Adult is £18 and for a student Cadbury World £13.65. Overall, I would highly recommend this for anyone, especially if you haven’t tried yet Cadbury Creme Egg! You will get, while British people love Cadbury chocolate so much! After this trip, I found out the Crunchie one is my favourite. Even now, while thinking about this adventurous, I admire the traditional chocolate making techniques and people who we met. They are not usual workers. They are artist, whose passion becomes alive while the process of creating a chocolate masterpiece. Maybe it’s time to create your own? We did and enjoyed it so much!
