What is it like to live in Bilbao? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

located in the Norht. Bilbao is a safe place to live. At first people here aare a litle closed but once you know them, they will become very friendly. Bilbao has everything a student need, good transport, universities, supermarkets. As Bilbao is a small city you can walk everywhere you want

What is the student lifestyle like in Bilbao?

They usualy like meeting their friends, have a drink, go to cheap concerts, eating out.

How much does it cost to live in Bilbao?

As many capitals, Bilbao depends where you live or go out, prices vary much from different areas, In conclusion it is neither expecnsive nor cheap

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bilbao? Is there any advice you can give?

I don´t thing is difficult, You can go the the University and there you will be helped to find accomodation. You also can look up in internet.
There are also students residence but these are quiet expensive

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is excelent here. Our gastronomy is very well known in Spain. Typical food is cod (bacalao a la vizcaiana) hake ( merluza a la vasca)

What places would you recommend visiting in Bilbao?

We have Guggenheim museum and Bellas Artes. Take the funicular up the hill and enjoy the city. Or take the metro and visit the Hunging bridge.Don´t forget to have a stroll i the old city

Is it good to eat out in Bilbao? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Eating out in Bilbao is not very expensive, The best cuisine is bacalao a la bizcaina, merluza a la vasca, marmitako and steak

Is the nightlife good in Bilbao? Where is good to go?

Bilbao has many places to go at night, Pozas Street is the students favourite place, then you have Mazarredo stree.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bilbao?

First I will tell them they are in a safe place, specially at night. They can walk wherever they want and within 20 min they can go to the beach famous for surfin.
