What is it like to live in Bilbao? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Bilbao is a lovely city, you have loads of things to do in there. You also have gorgeous landscapes 30 mins from the city centre (by car/metro/bus). It's well known for its beautiful beaches and enormous mountains. People in here are a bit shy, but once you get to know them you will definitely fall in love with them (but most of the times it will be you the one that have to start the conversation). There are quite many Erasmus students in here.

What is the student lifestyle like in Bilbao?

You have to study, but if you come from another country teachers usually take that into account. The education of the University of Deusto is very good (usually). You also have many discos for different people. For example: Back Stage, Fever, Mao... You have many libraries too.

How much does it cost to live in Bilbao?

It is not expensive and the quality of life is so good. You can be better that anywhere else.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Bilbao? Is there any advice you can give?

No, just get it in the best place (Moyua, Indautxu). If you want a cheaper one, 600€ the flat (full and furnished) you can go to Sestao/Portugalete, cities at just 20 mins from the University by metro.

Just amazing.

What advice would you give future students heading to Bilbao?

Don't hesitate, come to Bilbao. Despite the weather is just like in Oxford, the city and the atmosphere is awesome.
